Synova Health Finds Synergy with Nobility

When Gabriel Petty, PA-C, opened wound care treatment center Synova Health in Austin, Texas in June 2024, he had moved away from working exclusively in orthopedics. While still remaining involved peripherally with sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, Petty shifted his focus to advanced wound care, a niche field of care he found compelling. Though expertly trained in wound care management, he quickly discovered that his in-house medical billing team did not have the requisite expertise to successfully navigate the reimbursement complexities related to wound care procedures.
Through a professional connection, Petty was introduced to Brian Flynn, executive vice president of Business Development for Nobility RCM. Nobility had recently developed a medical billing solution customized for wound care, integrating a deep understanding of the intricacies of coding for wound care reimbursements into its already proven and robust revenue cycle management platform. Petty immediately recognized that Nobility’s wound care solution would fill the gap in Synova’s existing billing processes. By August 2024, Nobility became Synova Health’s RCM partner of record.
Says Petty, “The best thing to come out of that connection was my introduction to Nobility. Now I don’t worry about claims. With Nobility, they’re just done.”
The demand for Synova’s comprehensive and patient-centered mobile wound care services skyrocketed, due in large part to the practice’s focus on amniotic allograft as a treatment protocol to accelerate healing and improve outcomes for wound care patients. Just one year after Synova teamed up with Nobility, the organization opened a second location in Palm Beach, Florida. Petty has his eye on becoming the premier wound care provider along the Gulf Coast and is currently evaluating future locations in Louisiana and the Florida panhandle.
“Austin has gone so well, we added the second practice,” comments Petty. “Nobility is also handling our wound care billing in Florida, and now we plan to pepper the Gulf Coast with a Synova presence.”
Petty is frequently approached by other firms operating in some RCM capacity, but he appreciates the seamlessness of Nobility’s start-to-finish billing services. He communicates with Nobility with ease and receives regular reporting to assess financial performance. Even better, he doesn’t have to concern himself with managing multiple vendors, given Nobility’s all-inclusive solution that incorporates credentialing, claims submission and payment posting.
“One of my biggest stressors before was making sure we got paid for the care we provided, but I trust Nobility implicitly and know we’ll get paid,” remarks Petty. “I’ve always liked to spend as much time as needed with my patients, and now I can do that.”
